Recent results session in ISIT 2016

ISIT 2016 - Recent Results

Authors who would like to participate in the ISIT 2016 Recent Results Session are required to send a poster draft and a 1 page abstract explaining the contribution to Dr. Josep Font-Segura (josep.font@ieee.org) with the subject ISIT 2016 Recent Results Session, by May 31, 2016.

A committee will screen and select the appropriate manuscripts submitted to the Recent Results track. Please note that these manuscripts will not go through a formal peer review process, and will not appear in the published proceedings.

The 4th workshop ‘Beyond I.I.D. in Information Theory’ belongs to a series that started in 2013 in Cambridge. This workshop brings together specialists and students of classical and quantum Shannon theory, cryptography, mathematical physics, thermodynamics, etc, in the hope to foster collaboration in the field of one-shot information theory and its applications.

Workshop in Santander, just before ISIT

WMC 2016 Santander

Workshop on Mathematics in Communications
Santander, Spain. July 6-8, 2016

This workshop will take place in Santander (Spain) just before ISIT.

Some of the topics covered are finite fields, number theory, combinatorics, applications to communications using sequences and arrays, with emphasis in radar, sonar and cryptology. Plenary speakers are Harald Niederreiter (Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics, RICAM), Gary McGuire (University College Dublin) and Carlos Moreno (Baruch College).

ISIT 2016 - Call for tutorials

The 2016 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory seeks half-day tutorial proposals. Tutorials should provide clear and focused teaching material covering new and emerging topics within the scope of the conference.

The tutorial proposal should describe concisely the content, importance and timeliness of the tutorial. More information on the proposal format can be found here. Submissions should be emailed to andreas.winter@uab.cat and gabor.lugosi@upf.edu by the 30th of November 2015.

Interested authors are encouraged to submit previously unpublished contributions from any topic related to information theory. Researchers working in emerging fields and applications of information theory are especially encouraged to submit original findings.
